Many operations undertaken by municipalities take place in bad weather conditions when machine operators are exposed to rain, fog and dust where  visibility is poor. In winter they are exposed to ice and snow in the streets which creates reflections leading to glare. Snow covered ground creates intense glare with the average reflection of light over the field of view being very high, in the range of 70 to 90 %. Ideally, lighting that has a lower colour temperature as well as a low illumination level is required to reduce the reflections from the snow.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to switch the colour temperature according to the seasons? Warmer light combined with less luminance when there is snow on the ground and colder light providing higher luminance levels when there is no snow on the ground.

Switching colour temperatures can be accomplished with the TYRI INTELLilight. This system allows you to adjust both the colour temperature range from 2 700 K (halogen) to 6 500 K (cold white). Additionally, you are able to dim any individual lamp regardless of the light next to it, from 0% to 100 % and add a light luminance sensor that reacts to glare and dim lights automatically. This is a very effective solution for machines with multiple operators as you can personalize your settings. INTELLilight is highly suitable for snow removal and de-icing machines.

Fresia snow blowers are used for snow clearing operations on highways, mountain roads, alpine passes, and airports. In this example, the machine’s roof bar is equipped with TYRI LED head light – HL Compact and TYRI 1010 LED work light with a warm light temperature; to avoid glare from snow. Installed on the blade and upper cannon is the TYRI VL6 work light, to show the flow of the snow at the night.


In winter, airport runways require frequent de-icing to ensure planes can take off and land safely. These Fresia de-icing machines travel the length of the concourse spraying special chemicals required to melt any ice build-up. To enable better vision – the TYRI LED BlueBeam is used to highlight all nozzles on the sprayer arm.


Fresia snow sweepers must clear the runway from snow before take-off and landing approaches can take place. To improve the machine operator’s visibility TYRI LED 1010 were chosen.


No matter if it’s spring, summer, autumn or winter, high demands on sweeping, waste management and winter service in the public sector must be met. Dust from streets and snow make visibility hard. Pruebas y certificaciones para Municipal Vehicles

CEM EN55025 / CISPR 25

Es de vital importancia, especialmente en vehículos de emergencias y militares, que la iluminación no afecte los sistemas de control, camaras, ordenadores de abordo y otros equipos sensibles a interferencias de radio.

Por este motivo las luces de TYRI son específicamente controladas para que no provoquen ningún tipo de interferencia electromagnética.

IP 69K

La clasificación IP69 ofrece la tranquilidad de saber que la luz de trabajo que estas instalando y superado rigurosas prubas para asegurar que sea resistente y que cumple con los más estrictos estándares de protección contra el agua, humedad e infiltraciones de polvo.

Pruebas de vibración

Las luces TYRI pasan por un extenso test de vibración de hasta 8 horas en todos los ejes, sobre 10 Grms en un rango de frecuencias de 5 – 2000 HZ.

Esto simula las fuerzas a las que las luces son sometidas una vez instaladas en los vehículos de fuera de caretera.

Pruebas de niebla salina

Las luces TYRI pasan por un extenso test de niebla salina para asegurar que cumplen con los estándars ASTMB117. Esto asegura el correcto funcionamiento de las luces hasta en ambientes corrosivos.

Pruebas de choque

Pruebas medioambientales

Las luces TYRI son probadas en altas y bajas temperaturas así como en condiciones de humedad durante un mínimo de 50 días. Las pruebas se conducen de -40 °C to 85 °C y hasta un 90 % de humedad.

Polaridad / Sobrecalentamiento / Protención de sobrevoltaje

Las luces TYRI llevan incorporado un circuito sensor de temperatura que regula el output para reducir la temperatura de la lámpara en caso de sobrecalentamiento. Esto previene daños en los LED que pueden resultar en fallos permanentes. Las luces TYRI también llevan un protector de polaridad en caso de una incorrecta instalación. Si los cables fuesen intercambiados durante la instalación, las luces TYRI no se encenderían hasta que no fuesen conectados de forma correcta. Así se protegen los LED y los circuitos.
